Configure bulk order

Quantity tiers apply separately to each identical configuration: 20–49 windows save 5%, 50–99 save 7%, and 100 or more save 10%. The highest qualifying rate applies to every window in that group. Different types, sizes, colours or options do not combine. Savings apply automatically at checkout; bulk savings do not stack with other offers. If another single offer saves more, checkout applies it. Tax, freight and separately priced non-discountable accessories are extra. Supply only; arrange your own measuring and installation.

Choose your type, frame size, colour, flange and quantity in the bulk selector. More sizes and options are available in the designer. Current prices are checked again at checkout.

Make the right choices for your opening

When is it time to replace a window?

Persistent drafts, damaged frames, recurring water entry or a sash that will not open and close properly are reasons to have the window assessed. Repair, adjustment or glass replacement may be enough in some cases. Condensation on a glass surface alone does not establish that the whole window needs replacing; identify where the moisture appears before choosing the work.

Understand condensation before replacing a window

Start with the existing opening

A sound existing frame may suit a pocket replacement; damaged frames or a change in opening size can require full-frame work. Have your installer assess the opening before choosing a frame, flange or trim. A replacement project does not automatically mean a window without a nailing flange.

Plan pocket-replacement measurements

Choose how the window opens

Casement and awning sashes swing outward, so check paths, planting and outside clearance. Sliding and hung sashes move within the frame. Fixed picture and shaped windows add light without ventilation. Compare the actual opening and cleaning access for each room.

Compare window operation

Price your complete window

Dimensions, glass, exterior and interior finishes, grilles, screens and installation accessories affect the product price. The examples below show specific configurations, not installed project totals. Match those selections before comparing quotes; freight, tax and your contractor’s work are separate.

Understand the quote details

Replacing only a failed glass unit?

A fogged sealed unit and a worn-out window are different problems. If the frame, sash and operation are suitable to keep, ask your installer whether a replacement insulated glass unit will address the issue before ordering a complete window.

Compare glass replacement with a complete window

Check the manufacturer and the order details

Ask who makes the windows, compare documented performance for the specified product and glass, and read the written warranty. An itemized quote should identify frame sizes, operation, finish, glass, accessories and delivery. Confirm who measures and installs the windows so the product order and site work cover the same project.

Plan production, delivery and installation

Custom window production is estimated at 15–20 business days; freight transit comes afterward. Panes supplies windows across the continental US. Arrange measurement and installation with your contractor; confirm the freight price and receiving requirements for your address.

Window ordering questions

How does bulk replacement-window pricing work?

Save 5% on 20–49 identical windows, 7% on 50–99, and 10% on 100 or more, based on regular online product prices. Each qualifying group must use the same type, frame size, colour and options. The bulk selector shows the regular price, discounted unit price and product subtotal. Freight and tax are extra; arrange your own measuring and installation.

Can I order replacement windows in custom sizes?

Yes. Choose a supported window style and enter your dimensions in the online designer. Size limits depend on the operating style, glass and layout. Confirm the final manufactured dimensions with your installer before placing the order.

Do replacement windows always come without a flange?

No. The installation method determines the appropriate flange and frame details. The examples on this page have no nailing flange; flange options are available in the configuration catalog. Have your installer confirm the suitable choice for your opening.

Does the online price include installation?

The configured product price is for the window and the selected options. Tax, delivery and installation are separate. US customers arrange installation with their own contractor; Canadian customers can enquire about installation availability for their address.

Replacement windows for a brick building in Paton, Iowa
Original Panes project post ·

Dark window frames give this existing brick building in Paton, Iowa a consistent appearance across its upper and lower openings. The original Panes project post documents the replacement and shows the windows in place.

Details from this project

  • Tall rectangular glazing spans the ground-floor facade, with smaller window openings above.
  • Dark frames repeat across the two levels and contrast with the lighter ground-floor cladding.
  • Panes labels are visible on the glazing in the project photograph.

Planning a similar project?

For a comparable replacement project, prepare an opening schedule for both levels. Record the existing frame condition, the intended replacement method and which openings must provide ventilation. Confirm the final manufacturing dimensions and delivery access before ordering.
