High Fix Windows

High fix is a fixed-window profile that can coordinate with adjacent operating windows. The name does not require installation high on a wall. Compare frame sightlines and visible glass using the product drawings.

Best uses

Coordinate Frame Sightlines

Compare the high-fix frame profile with adjoining operating windows. High fix is a profile choice, not a required mounting height.

Plan Privacy

Placement, glass choice and views from outside affect privacy. A high-fix profile does not by itself provide privacy.

Compare Certified Ratings

Compare whole-product U-factor, SHGC and air-leakage ratings for the selected glass, frame and size. The operating style does not establish certification or energy savings.

Fixed-Window Care

There is no operating sash, but glass, frames, seals and drainage still need inspection and cleaning. Plan safe access to both sides of the glass.

Acoustic Options

If outdoor sound is a priority, request acoustic ratings for the chosen glass and complete window. Frame seals and installation also affect the result.

Architectural Interest

Add visual height and dimension to any room. High fix windows create a sense of openness and modern sophistication.

Window maintenance guidance

Check the opening and room requirements

Ask your installer to confirm frame dimensions, installation allowances and any required emergency-escape opening. A nominal size or operating style alone does not establish suitability for a bedroom or basement.

Window screens do not prevent falls. Opening the upper sash or leaving a window partly open does not make it child-safe. Review fall-prevention measures and emergency access for the room.

Compare the selected configuration

Request certified whole-product U-factor and solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) for your frame, size and glass package. A style name or pane count alone does not establish energy performance, ENERGY STAR certification or savings.

Compare quotes using the same dimensions, glazing, finish, hardware and installation scope. Confirm production and transit times separately before ordering.
