Panel counts describe the complete assembly, not the number of panels that open. Use the series drawings and current configurator to confirm supported combinations; frame width is not the clear passage width.
Sliding vs. stacking: compare the usable opening
A conventional slider moves an operating panel beside another panel. A multi-track stacking door moves several panels along separate tracks so they gather toward one or both sides, depending on the layout.
More panels do not automatically create a wider clear passage. Compare the drawing for the complete assembly: fixed panels, stack location, track depth, screen travel and access through the open doorway.
Capri features and size charts · Amalfi features and size charts · Rimini features and size charts · Aria features and size chartsConfirm frame dimensions and installation details
Measure the complete opening with your installer before choosing a series. Frame dimensions, rough-opening allowances and the clear passage are different measurements. Confirm the supported width and height together with the panel count and glass package.
For larger or multi-track doors, review frame depth, threshold, drainage, structural support, site access and unloading requirements. A listed maximum width is not a promise that every height, glass and layout combination is available.
Choose a measuring method · Send an opening for reviewCompare ratings for the configuration you will buy
Ask for certified whole-product U-factor and solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) for the selected size, frame and glass package. Lower U-factor means less heat transfer; SHGC describes how much solar heat passes through. Match the ratings to your climate and project requirements.
A style name, series name or pane count does not establish ENERGY STAR certification or a guaranteed energy saving. Compare the actual product ratings and quote, including any changes caused by your glass selection.

Panes manufactures and supplies windows and doors throughout the continental United States and Canada, including destinations outside our showroom markets. Compare the complete product price, freight and taxes along with your installer’s costs.
US customers arrange measurement and installation with their own contractor. Canadian customers can ask about local installation availability. Confirm the current production estimate and transit time separately; remote, restricted-access, oversized and specialty shipments may need review before ordering.

What is the difference between a sliding and a stacking patio door?
A conventional sliding layout moves a panel beside another panel. A stacking system moves several panels along multiple tracks so they gather to one or both sides. Compare the actual clear passage, stack position and frame depth for the selected layout.
Is Capri available with more than two panels?
Yes. The Capri series includes two-, three- and four-panel layouts. Check the series size chart and current configuration for the opening you need; two-panel dimensions do not describe every Capri layout.
Which Panes patio doors have stacking layouts?
Rimini and Aria offer multi-track three- and six-panel stacking layouts. Confirm the operating direction, fixed panels, supported dimensions and screen arrangement before ordering.
Is triple-pane glass standard on every patio door?
Do not assume the same glass package across all series and configurations. Check the selected configuration and written quote for pane count, coatings, gas fill and certified whole-product ratings.
How do I compare patio-door price and delivery time?
Use the same opening, layout, glass, finish, hardware and screen requirements in each quote. Include freight, taxes and installation costs. Confirm production and transit separately; oversized or restricted-access deliveries may need additional planning.
