Define the actual geometry
Identify the shape as viewed from outside. Depending on the design, supply diameters, radii, short-leg heights, cut-off dimensions or angles. Use an approved template or drawing when the opening cannot be fully described by simple dimensions.
Coordinate adjacent openings
Show neighbouring rectangular and operating windows on the same elevation, including grille and sightline alignment. The fixed shaped examples do not provide ventilation; any opening units need their own specification.

This round fixed window is one of our curved and geometric options. Its black exterior and white interior are shown on the same configuration. Confirm the full frame geometry before production: a circle, an arch and an angled window each require different dimensions.
Black exterior
A standalone circle with a 36 inch outside frame diameter. The 36 × 36 inch configuration describes its overall width and height; the circular glass is smaller than the frame.
White interior
The matching white interior has fixed glass and no operating hardware or screen. This round window admits light and provides a view; ventilation requires a separate opening window.

- U-factor
- Heat transfer through the complete window. Lower values indicate better insulation. U.S. values use Btu/(h·ft²·°F); metric equivalents use W/(m²·K).
- SHGC
- Solar heat gain coefficient, from 0 to 1. Lower values admit less solar heat.
- VT
- Visible transmittance, from 0 to 1. Higher values admit more visible light.
These reference configurations have no grilles. Each row preserves the NFRC manufacturer code for its frame, glass and gas combination. Select the matching series and glass package, and confirm the CPD number and label for your order. Different glass, grilles, frame systems and joined assemblies can have different ratings.
For Midwest and Northeast projects, compare heat transfer, winter sunlight and summer exposure together. A lower U-factor indicates less heat transfer. A lower SHGC admits less solar heat; a higher SHGC admits more. VT describes visible light transmission. Orientation, shading and local code affect the choice. NFRC ratings alone do not establish ENERGY STAR eligibility.
